Describe ICF forms and how they are used.

What will be an ideal response?

?Insulated concrete forms (ICF) are made from expanded polystyrene in units that are notched to facilitate stacking to form the cavity for cast-in-place concrete walls. Plastic form ties at regular intervals hold the foam forms in position and serve to support the reinforcing. The formwork is nonstructural, and although it remains in place after the wall is poured, the reinforced concrete is designed to carry the loads. The form provides insulation and acoustical values to the wall. It can be used to build walls above and below grade.
