Examine ethnorelative and describe its three types of responses.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Answers to this question will vary but should include elements of the following: Ethnorelative refers to the idea that cultures can only be understood in relation to each other, in other words, in a relative way. Ethnorelative responses to differences include (1) acceptance (in which cultural differences are acknowledged and respected); (2) adaptation (in which individuals use their acceptance of differences for relating to, adapting to, empathizing with, and communicating with people of other cultures); and (3) integration (in which an individual’s orientation and world view develops from the diversity of social, political, and educational interactions we have throughout our lifetimes).
