What does Hizbollah mean?

What will be an ideal response?

Hizbollah or "the Party of God" was founded in 1982 in reaction to the Israeli invasion of Lebanon. The roots of Hizbollah go back to the late 1970s, when hundreds of Shi'ite clerics and students were forced to leave Iraq and settle in Lebanon. These exiles recruited young militants and formed the Committee Supportive of the Islamic Revolution, which identified closely with the Shi'ite Muslim government in Iran. The group was also loosely associated with a Lebanese Shi'ite militia, known as Amal, led by Nabih Berri. Militant groups such as Amal organized a Lebanese resistance front to fight the Israelis, but it wasn't until Iran sent 1,500 troops to the aid of the Lebanese fighters that the development of Hizbollah truly began.
