What effect does the presence of non-condensables have on a system?

What will be an ideal response?

Non- condensables take up space in the condenser and raise the system high side pressure. This increases the compression ratio, increases the compressor amp draw and decreases the compressor capacity. The end result is decreased the system capacity, increased compressor operating temperature, and increased system operating costs.
