Complete answers will include the following list: numeral cards, pocket chart, colored chips, calculator activities, and die or number cards. Using numeral cards, children draw the cards, write the number, and then read the numbers. Using a place-value pocket chart, ask children to take turns putting digits on the chart and then read the numbers aloud. Using colored chips, children represent numbers on a mat, show the number by using two colors, and then record the two parts. Using calculators, children enter a six-digit number and then ask them to wipe-out a specified digit. Using die or number cards, children create the largest possible number using the digits generated by repeatedly rolling the die or drawing a card. Children record the digits in place-value position. Children making the greatest number win.
