A clear plan for implementing the alliance should be created and activated. Criteria and a process for evaluating alliance outcomes should be created, as well as a means of distributing performance outcomes to the alliance partners. The value of the alliance partner's own partners should be evaluated and used. Overarching all these activities, is the necessity of creating trust with the alliance partner.
