Humans can extend the earth's carrying capacity for the species. Can the earth adequately support an exponentially growing human population?
What will be an ideal response?
Answers should discuss the fact that the planet's resources are limited and because of environmental resistance, no exponentially growing population can increase without being converted into logistic growth. Humans are not exempt from overshoot and population crashes. When a population overshoots its carrying capacity it may cause environmental damage that reduces the carrying capacity.
