What will be an ideal response?
Answer: Assault is a threat or an attempt to injure another person. Battery is the unlawful touching of another person without his or her consent, with or without an injury. A felony is a serious criminal offense that carries a penalty of imprisonment for more than one year and possibly the death penalty. Harassment is any verbal or physical abuse of a person because of race, religion, age, gender, or disability. Any conduct that creates significant anguish for another person is harassment. Both state and federal criminal laws apply to harassment, but a civil lawsuit for harassment may also be filed.
