Explain how the presence of Pangea relates to the fact that most marsupials are found in Australia

What will be an ideal response?

When Pangea was present, mammals had not evolved past the marsupial pouch. When Pangea split apart, different marsupials wound up on different continents. In most of the continents, placental mammals evolved and eventually outcompeted the marsupials. This did not occur in Australia.
