Discuss two myths that revolve around affirmative action policies that were discussed in the reading.

What will be an ideal response?

Many people believe that affirmative action policies are focused on employers meeting racial quotas in the workplace. Racial quotas have been illegal since the 1972 Supreme Court case Regents of the University of California v. Bakke. Another myth is that all employers have to follow affirmative action policies. The truth is that most private workplaces are not affected by affirmative action guidelines, and only those that receive government contracts of $50,000 or more and that employ more than 50 workers must comply.
