What are a digital signature and a digital certificate? If someone removes the Marked as Final status of a file, what happens to the digital signature?

What will be an ideal response?

A digital signature is an electronic attachment, which is not visible in the file, that verifies the authenticity of the author or the version of the file by comparing the digital signature to a digital certificate.

A digital certificate is a code attached to a file that verifies the identity of the creator of the file. When you digitally sign a document, the file is automatically marked as final to protect it from changes.

If anyone removes the Marked as Final status so that you can make changes to the document, the signature is marked as invalid because it is no longer the same document the signatory signed.
