Defend or refute this statement: Young children are unable to write stories
What will be an ideal response?
This can be refuted. Children begin to write stories as soon as they begin to talk and to draw. The actual handwriting of the story is really only the recording of the tale. The creating, or real writing, of the story can be done orally and/or with pictures by young children. Authors who write books for children often dispel the myths of writing. They typically began to construct stories at very young ages and wrote about their lives and the experiences that were meaningful to them.
