Compare and contrast simple and multiple regression.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: Simple regression involves characterizing the relationship between one dependent and one independent variable. In simple regression the values of a single independent variable are used to predict the values of the dependent variable. In multiple regression, the values of two or more independent variables are used to predict the dependent variable. However, in multiple regression, the coefficients control for the contribution of the other independent variable. When using regression, there is only one dependent variable regardless of whether it is simple regression or multiple regression
