What will be an ideal response?


Assistive technology assessments are multifaceted and decisions should not be based only one assessment. Options for assessments include direct observations interviews, and formal assessments. Direct observations involve observing a student in his/her settings. Interviews can occur with the students, parents, teachers, and other educators. Formal assessments are few, but two examples are the Functional Evaluation of Assistive Technology and the assessment within the Wisconsin Assistive Technology Initiative.
