Describe the importance of hemoglobin

It is a globular protein, which is made of quaternary structure. It is comprised of four polypeptide subunits. Red blood cells contain a large amount of hemoglobin. Oxygen binds to heme unit of the molecule and carried from the lung to the tissue.
