After 9/11, Saudi Arabia did little to track down terrorists. Even though the country and its ruling family became a named target for al Qaeda, the country still had difficulties as there was broad support of bin Laden's al Qaeda in the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia developed programs to discourage and root out the interdependencies of the radical and extreme movements promoting jihad.
