The three memory devices I like the most are acronyms, visualization, and using my own words when learning vocabulary words. Acronyms are created by using the first letters of the terms you want to remember. They can be in order or not, depending on how you need to learn them. An example is when learning the colors of the rainbow, you can use ROY G. BIV, which stands for Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet. Visualization works well for me because it helps me to see the words or concepts as a picture in my head. When studying biology, I visualized the Kreb's cycle in a circle with names of the cycle in order going around it. It helped me remember them for my test. Finally, I like learning definitions using my own words. I find that the definitions in the book are sometimes too detailed and difficult to understand, so restating them in my own words makes them more understandable.
