Today’s chemical terrorism threat includes the potential acquiring and use of chemical warfare agents and military-style delivery systems. Included are the use of toxic industrial chemicals, such as the industrial chlorine containers included in IED attacks in Iraq, and improvised dissemination systems, such as those used in the 1995 attack conducted by Aum Shinrikyo in the Tokyo subway system.
