time they save their human owners is often the justification for their use.
? Personal care- improves the quality of life for those with debilitating
conditions. The robotic prosthetics we have talked about before would fall
in this category as well. Some of the robots in this category retrieve items
for their owners while others allow them to have a virtual presence in
locations otherwise off-limits.
? Risk mitigation- we send in the robot to take the risk so people do not
have to.
