In the (MBO) approach, performance objectives are jointly planned by managers and employees, with periodic reviews of progress and rewards based on this progress. Its elements are (1) specific objectives created at each organizational level; (2) participatory decision making in creating and meeting goals; (3) target dates included in the objectives; (4) communication and feedback at all levels; (5) performance evaluation and feedback; and (6) rewards and recognition of results achieved.
