Discussion should go toward judgment being an assessment of a situation and includes gathering and processing information, evaluating, and choosing a course of action. There are different types of decision-making, but at its most basic, it is the process of making decisions.

Discussion should go toward the fact that people make judgments and decisions everyone, small and large and that generally, exercising good judgment usually leads to better decision-making which will be more likely to result in desired outcomes.

Open-ended discussion that may include time pressure, fatigue, influence of other people, interpretation of information, training, level of alertness, knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures, etc.
