Describe the relationships among induction, determination, and differentiation
What will be an ideal response?
Induction is when a group of cells causes another group of cells to follow a certain developmental
pathway. Induction leads to determination, which is the process that sets a cell’s developmental fate to
become a particular cell type. Once a cell is determined, is differentiates to become that particular cell
type, establishing a cell-specific pattern.
