Answer: There is many differences between the lymphatic system and the cardiovascular system in humans. The lymphatic system includes lymph vessels, capillaries, lymph glands, lymph nodes, and lymph. On the other hand, the cardiovascular system includes the heart that pumps blood, blood, and blood vessels (arteries, veins, and capillaries). Leaked fluid that comes from the cardiovascular system enters the lymphatic systems and it drains into the veins. On the other hand, the cardiovascular system comprises of a circuit that leads to circulation through vessels which drains tissues. The lymphatic system is an open system that is not connected to the heart. The cardiovascular system is a closed system that is connected to the heart. The lymphatic system does not have a role in transportation of gases where the cardiovascular system does play a role. This says that the cardiovascular system does connect to the respiratory system. The lymphatic system has lymphocytes. On the other hand, the cardiovascular system has blood that is made up of blood cells like erythrocytes, leukocytes, and platelets. Lastly, the lymphatic system carries only digested fats and the digestive system carries digested food and waste products.
The function of the cardiovascular system is to help exchange substances to and from the tissues of the body. It also delivers nutrients and different substances. Lastly, it collects metabolic waste. When it comes to the immune system, leukocytes of blood are there to aid. The function of the lymphatic system is to help return the fluid that leaks from the vessels or even the blood flow. The system can also purify the fluid. This can be done through dead cells and pathogens which occurs before returning to the cardiovascular system. It acts as a defence mechanism with the help of lymphocytes. This is huge when it comes to the immune system.
