One issue that might be raised is how the characteristics are generalized to all officers, where in reality one would expect considerable variation by individual officers. For example, within a specific agency, there might be individuals with different working personalities that reflect demographic characteristics, unit assignment, or position in the organization. A police chief may (or may not) have a similar working personality compared to a homicide detective. Solidarity, fear, danger, risk-taking, and bravery could be added to the list.
