Describe the steps in the two-part format for introducing and practicing irregular words

What will be an ideal response?

In part 1, the teacher introduces the new irregular words for the current lesson, as well as those introduced in the previous lesson. These words appear in a column. To introduce each new word, the teacher:
• tells the students the word. "This word is fuel."
• has the students say the word. "What word?"
• has the students spell the word. "Spell fuel."
• has the students say the word again. "What word?"
The teacher repeats the above procedure with each word, then has the students read the column again, just saying each word.

In part 2, the irregular words introduced over the 3 prior days are reviewed. The students read each word without any prompting from the teacher.
