What were the results of Elizabeth Loftus' testing involving eyewitness testimony after watching a video showing a car collision?

What will be an ideal response?

People watched a car crash and afterwards were asked questions about what they had seen. When asked to
estimate how fast the cars were traveling when they "contacted" each other, the average estimate was 34 miles per
hour. When others were asked about the cars that "crashed" into each other, the estimate was 41 miles per hour. Of
people asked about the "crash," 32% "saw" broken glass, whereas only 14% of those that were asked about the cars
that "contacted" did. A school bus that was not there was "seen" by 26% of the people.
