Describe some discovery learning activities that one would find in a DAP environment

What will be an ideal response?

Children in discovery learning do not spend their time sitting in desks listening to a lecturing adult or reciting back memorized information. Large-group activities for preschoolers are limited to short periods of sharing, singing, and story time. Group activities are avoided for infants and toddlers. Adults do, however, frequently sit on the floor and read, sing, and do finger plays for babies and toddlers who voluntarily cluster around them. DAP teachers constantly look for ways to increase children's independence and mastery of their environment.
