Has anyone in the workplace scenario breached confidential patient information?
What will be an ideal response?
There was not a direct breach of patient confidentiality in this situation; however, it was inappropriate of Alicia to be discussing this situation with a coworker not directly involved in the situation. Alicia should have discussed the situation with Marla if she felt that Marla did not provide proper care to the patient or reported the situation to Marla's direct supervisor.
