Describe existential isolation.
What will be an ideal response?
Existential isolation is deeper than either interpersonal or intrapersonal isolation. It refers to the fact that no matter how close we feel to another, there is always a gap. Each of us enters this world alone and leaves it alone. As we age, we become aware that we can never fully share our consciousness with others. People who face imminent death have a greater understanding of existential isolation than do others.
