Describe how consumer products are distributed through marketing channels. What is a marketing channel?

What will be an ideal response?

A marketing channel is a group of interrelated organizations that direct the flow of products from the producer to the consumer. Firms use different marketing channels depending upon the needs of the target market. For instance, most services (and industrial goods) are distributed through the direct channel—producer to consumer. Firms such as Mary Kay and Avon also use the direct channel. On the other hand, convenience goods often go through the longest channel in order to attempt to place the produce in as many locations as possible (intensive distribution)
