Present a general definition for a multigene family and how it relates to a superfamily

What will be an ideal response?

Multigene families share DNA sequence homology, and their gene products are functionally related. They are often (but not always) found together in a single location in a chromosome. They are believed to be derived from a common ancestral gene. A group of related multigene families is called a superfamily.
