Sustainable development may be possible if materials are recycled to the maximum degree possible, and if one does not have growth in the annual material throughput of the economy

What will be an ideal response?

As discussed in the chapter an investigated above, sustainability depends on
exploiting a lesser or equal amount of a resource than is being produced. Recycling can
help in some cases to increase the availability of some sustainable resource. One obvious
example is the use of manure to fertilize farm fields. Instead of wearing the soil out, the
manure helps rebuild the soil.
