How does traditional plant and animal breeding differ from genetic engineering?

What will be an ideal response?

Genetic engineering causes rapid changes, whereas traditional plant
and animal breeding produces changes over several generations. Genetic
engineering requires expertise in molecular biology and expensive
laboratory equipment, whereas selective breeding requires knowledge of
plant and animal care but not molecular biology. The DNA of a desirable
animal is used to replace the DNA of an unfertilized egg. The egg is fertilized
in a Petri dish allowed by law like the cloning of people. Selective breeding
is not covered by these laws.
