It is time now to create your own practice, for which you will complete activities throughout each of the management chapters. Refer to the section at the back of the main textbook titled: Templates for Creating Your Practice. You will first create the dynamics for your practice, the personnel you employ, and the setting you choose. In each of the “Think Like a Manager” sections, you will have an activity in which you will be completing a task that corresponds to the topics covered in the chapter, such as job descriptions or writing policies and procedures. These activities will provide real-world practice in managing and prepare you for your future career. In Appendix D, you will have a guide for different specialties, their body systems, diseases, dianoses, illnesses, tests, and
procedures found within that specialty.
What will be an ideal response?
Each student’s answer will vary depending on the chosen
geographic area, setting, specialty, number of personnel and services provided in the specialty. Policies and procedures may be different, depending on practice setting. Be sure students include all required elements for each duty listed in this activity.
