Describe how to use detail clay.
What will be an ideal response?
To use detail clay properly, the technician should take it from its airtight container and pull a small amount from the block. Then it should be kneaded to soften it. When the clay becomes soft and pliable, the area to be detailed should be lubricated with either the recommended spray, or with a solution of water with a light amount of soap in it. CLAY SHOULD NOT BE USED WITHOUT LUBRICANT!
The clay is rubbed over the area to be cleaned with light pressure; as the clay passes over the debris, it will stick to the clay and be removed. As the clay gathers debris, the
detailer should occasionally knead the clay to provide a clean surface. When the clay becomes laden with debris and can no longer be kneaded clean, the piece should be
discarded and a new one prepared for use. If the clay is dropped it should be kneaded before being used again, for it will have picked up dirt from on the floor.

A 60-Hz, four-pole, Y-connected induction motor is connected to a 400-V (line to line), three-phase, 60-Hz line. The equivalent circuit parameters are
RS = 0.2 ? RR = 0.1 ? XS = 0.5 ? XR = 0.2 ? Xm = 20 ? When the machine is running at 1,755 r/min, the total rotational and stray-load losses are 800 W. Determine the slip, input current, total input power, mechanical power developed, shaft torque, and efficiency.
