Why are private facilities a concern for the public with respect to immigration?
What will be an ideal response?
Concerns among the public regarding private facilities have been raised in the past when considering prisons and jails. However, there are not near as many concerns among the public when detention of undocumented immigrants is the topic of concern. This may be due to a lack of public dissemination and awareness or it may due to a sense of apathy toward the undocumented immigrants within our borders. Regardless, as this issue continues to be debated, it is certain that more litigation is to follow on a number of fronts until some type of balance is achieved.
