Discuss how disenfranchisement laws perpetuate racial inequalities.
What will be an ideal response?
Disenfranchisement laws prevent people from being able to vote. It is a social fact that minorities are overrepresented among the incarcerated, which also means that they are overrepresented among the disenfranchised. Without the right to vote, disenfranchised minority members are denied the opportunity to influence political changes.
