How would you perform a manual brake bleeding?

What will be an ideal response?

1. Loosen the bleed screw approximately one turn.
2. Ask an assistant to push the brake pedal halfway to the floor. If a new master cylinder has been installed, the pedal can go all the way to the floor.
3. Tighten the bleed screw or put your finger over the bleed screw opening to prevent air from being sucked in during the next step.
4. Ask your helper to release the brake pedal. If your helper releases the pedal before you have tightened the bleed screw completely, air will be drawn back into the hydraulic system as the piston in the master cylinder retracts.
5. Repeat the process until the fluid coming out of the bleed screw is free of air.
6. Check the master cylinder fluid level often and refill it before the fluid level drops too low to prevent air from entering the hydraulic system.
