What is the difference between job enrichment and job enlargement?

What will be an ideal response?

Job enlargement involves giving workers a wider variety of duties in order to reduce monotony. In order to perform these additional duties, employees spend less time on each duty. Job enrichment focuses on adding depth to a current job by giving workers more control, responsibility, and discretion over how the work is performed. Job enrichment focuses on satisfying higher-order needs, whereas job enlargement concentrates on adding additional tasks to the worker's job for greater variety.
