List and briefly describe at least four methods to overcome writer's block

Students are to list four of the following methods:
a. Choose the right environment. Selecting a designated place to provide maximum ability to concentrate is important. A room with a low noise level and plenty of space to spread out your notes is usually effective.
b. Schedule a reasonable block of time. Plan a block of time in which you can work with no interruptions. If a project is quite lengthy, you may need to set up additional time blocks, with designated breaks to give yourself a fresh perspective.
c. State your purpose in writing. Write the primary objective at the top of a blank page. It will constantly remind you why you are writing this document.
d. Engage in free writing. Write continuously for 10 or 15 minutes without stopping. If you can't think of anything that relates to the topic at hand, just write any thoughts you have. This will help you to be creative and eventually to come up with ideas for your message.
e. Avoid the perfectionism syndrome. Remind yourself that the first draft is not the final copy. Avoid the temptation to try to achieve a perfect document the first time.
f. Think out loud. Verbalize your thoughts as you write them down. Listening to yourself is a good way to focus on your ideas and refine them.
g. Write the easiest parts first. Writing down something will give you a sense of accomplishment, and you may think of other ideas while you are writing the easiest section of the document.

The matching convention provides both the basis for hedge accounting, as well as the logic for the treating gains and losses from changes in fair value of fair value hedges differently from cash flow hedges. Which of the following is/are not true?

a. In a fair value hedge of a recognized asset or liability, both the hedged asset (or liability) and its related derivative (hedging instrument) appear on the balance sheet. b. Remeasuring both the hedged asset (or liability) and its related derivative to fair value each period and including the gain or loss on the hedged asset (or liability) and the loss or gain on the derivative in net income results in a net gain or loss that indicates the effectiveness of the hedge in neutralizing the risk. c. If the hedge is completely effective, there is a zero net effect on income (the gain or loss on the hedged item exactly offsets the loss or gain on the hedging instrument). d. In a cash flow hedge of a forecasted transaction, the hedged cash flow commitment does not appear on the balance sheet but the derivative instrument does appear. e. Application of the matching convention results in classifying the gain or loss on the derivative instrument in net income each period.
