The terms White and Caucasian are sometimes used interchangeably to refer to light-skinned people. Explain why these terms are problematic according to your text.

What will be an ideal response?

The term Caucasian comes from the biological conceptualization of race but also refers to people native to the Caucasus region between Europe and Asia. Also, many Hispanic Americans and people of Middle Eastern descent are light skinned and might therefore be labeled as White, yet such people often do not experience life in the United States as White people.
