Gasket sealant was purchased for a water pump job and the technician use ¾ of the tube. Would this be a direct or indirect expense? Explain your reasoning for your answer

What will be an ideal response?

Indirect is the most likely since not all was used for this one job, however if the shop charged the customer for the entire tube and maybe even gave the balance of the tube to the customer this would be considered a direct expense.
