What is the difference between a seminar and a conference?
What will be an ideal response?
A seminar is a self-produced event where a firm arranges to have an expert in its industry conduct an informational session for its audience. The expert can either be someone from within the firm or a noted outsider. Seminars can last as short as an hour, but may be as long as several days. We sometimes refer to longer seminars as workshops. Conferences, by contrast, are gatherings of people who either are members of a particular industry or profession or who simply have a common interest and come together to share information on a topic. In addition to networking with their peers, conference participants have the opportunity to attend presentations, demonstrations, and panel discussions led by experts in the field of the conference's focus.
