Higher molecular mass amines tend to be less odorous than lower molecular mass amines. Why?

What will be an ideal response?

In order for a compound to be smelled it must be in a gaseous phase so that it can travel to the nose. Greater molecular interactions occur within higher molecular mass chemical compounds (see Chapter 12); hence, they tend to remain in a solid or liquid phase at normal temperatures.
