Why is coming out in adolescence a difficult experience for many?
What will be an ideal response?
It goes against the grain of the more typical experience for adolescence and so there are more challenges involved. Unfortunately, our society is filled with extreme homophobia. Parents may respond with anger or dismay against their child. This has unfortunately risen the suicide rate of these teens.
