What are bone markings? Explain the difference between depressions, openings, and projections as related to bone markings
What will be an ideal response?
Bone markings are surface features, such as depressions, openings, and projections. Depressions allow blood vessels and nerves to travel along a bone, or provide a place where two bones can articulate (form a joint). Openings enclose delicate structures and allow them to travel through bones. Projections provide sites where bones articulate or to which ligaments and tendons attach.
