What is vog, and who named it? What are its risks? What will be an ideal response?


Vog is volcanic smog. The name was coined by residents of Hawaii who have been breathing it since
Kilauea began erupting in 1983. The volcano releases a lot of carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide, the
latter of which produces a haze and unpleasant sulfur odor. Vog may have long-term health risks.
