There is no single accepted definition of bullying. Some researchers attempt to define bullying by classifying actors as the aggressor or the victim. Other academics define bullying as a set of behaviors. One of the classic definitions of bullying was purposed by Olweus, who defined it from the victim's perspective: "Bullying behavior occurs when a victim is exposed, repeatedly and over time, to negative actions on the part of one or more persons."
