Particularly in the aviation industry, one of the most common factors is that equipment, including aircraft is not well designed for the employee to work in optimum positions or postures. Baggage handlers are exposed to baggage that comes in many different shapes and weights. Many organizations do not provide oversight, either through a formal or informal observation process, to address at-risk behaviors including end-range motions, overexertion, etc.
