What is the difference between thermoplastics and thermoset plastics?
What will be an ideal response?
Thermoplastic materials can be reheated, resoftened, and reshaped. The most common plastics are thermoplastics and include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polystyrene, and polymethyl methacrylate (acrylic plastic, often called Plexiglas). This gives them the important advantage of being recyclable. Thermoset plastics, once heated and molded, cannot revert back to their original form. These include bakelite and polyurethane.
